At the heart of Odisha lies Puri — a city where faith moves millions and the ocean never stands still. The Puri Coastal Marathon is born from this spirit, bringing together devotion, rhythm, and endurance.
Inspired by Lord Jagannath and the energy of the sea, this marathon is more than a race — it is a journey. Every step reflects resilience, belief, and the courage to move forward.
Set along the scenic coastline and symbolised by the Jagannath Temple flag (Patitapabana Bana), the event blends world-class racing with deep cultural and spiritual roots.
What makes this marathon truly unique is its dynamic course — where runners transition between coastal roads and soft beach sand, testing both strength and adaptability. The shifting terrain adds a new dimension to the run, making it as challenging as it is unforgettable.
Whether you are a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, this is your moment to be part of something greater.

Puri is a coastal city in Odisha on the Bay of Bengal, known for the Jagannath temple, its long beach and the Rath Yatra festival. The climate is hot and humid: summers (April to June) are very hot, the monsoon (June to September) is wet, and winters (November to February) are mild, dry and the most comfortable. November to February is the best time to race, with sea breezes. It is reached by road and rail from Bhubaneswar, about an hour and a half away, which has an airport.
