The 750 metre swim is an easy-to-follow route in the lake. You’ll enter the water at the boathouse end and head straight down the lake, sighting the Tower ahead. A smooth left turn takes you across the water, before another turn brings you home under the Outlaw swim arch, ready to take on the next stage.
The 20km bike course is flat, fast, and entirely traffic-free, perfect for pushing the pace or enjoying a smooth ride. With the lake always on your left, you’ll take on four scenic laps before rolling into transition, ready for the final leg.
The 5km run is a single, scenic loop around the lake, just you, your legs, and the finish in sight. You’ll end in true Outlaw style: storming down the iconic orange carpet and crossing the line in front of the Grandstand, with the crowd cheering you every step.
Nottingham is a city in the East Midlands, on the River Trent, with a Robin Hood legend, a strong running scene and the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont. The climate is cool and changeable: summers (June to August) are mild to warm, autumn is damp, winters (December to February) are cold and wet, and spring is fresh. Late spring to early autumn is the best time for racing, and the flat river routes suit fast courses. It has fast trains to London and a regional airport nearby.
